Introducing, New Faction after waiting for 16 years. I did not receive any game of age of empires - The African Kingdoms. Love ages of empires but too many glitches within the first hour of playing this dlc. cannot waypoint townhalls without crashing, reinforcements never show up because i clicked right as the cutscene happened so i was left with some population i could not access. After running into these glitches i decided to call it a night. So far not too happy with my purchase.. With African Kingdoms, AOE2 now contains 27 civlizations with 9 styles (8 + Indian official mod), doubled from its original release. This staggering diversity gave rise to a sense of completion: ancient civilizations from all over the world is represented in this game, and they are each unique and fun to play with. This DLC is simply a must have for anyone who loves AOE2.. First off: TOTALLY WORTH BUYING. It's a great chunk of content for 9,99. Some small issues I have with the game atm, but they might get patched soon (probably will, same problems arose with The Forgotten but were patched soon after release)* Multiplayer is a bit choppy atm, with frequent crashes* Some of the new units don't have smooth animations* Something happened to the sound, making it not play until the previous sound has finished playing (building a house with the hotkeys b then e produces one "click", for example) I want this back! It has about the same content as a "classic" AOE II expansion:* 4 New campains* 4 New civs (most expansions give 5, however)* New gamemode, addition of some generic units COMPLETELY overhauls water combat and expands siege options* New civs have their own building style* Addition of new fauna and terrain to fit the new civs. Exquisite campaign map detail and creation. I just finished the Berbers campaign and I loved it! The campaign goes back to more simpler but effective formula. The Pyrenees map was so well done! Reminded me of AoE1 Hannibal march through the Alps! Oooh nostalgia!Next the rest, Malians, Ethiopians, and Portuguese!By far, this expansion is superior to the Forgotten, though I do like Forgotten Empire's civs.PS: I finished Berbers campaign but no achievement. I noticed that there are TWO Portuguese campaign Almeida achievements, even for the Berber icon. Bug probably, please fix!. New dlc and updates for this classic game. New civs, new units, more tech, more maps, more game modes, new campaigns,improved balance, new voice overs.Its a good price and value for money.This game also has loads of mod support.Buy it if you love age of empires.This game looks like its still goin to be supported which is great, and they also dont rule out any more expansions.They have expansions planned for age of mythology in january also. Great to see one of my favourite games of all time being supported like this, thankyou!.
